Ribfest Addresses Schedule Changes and Ticket Holder Concerns

Ribfest from the Exchange Club of Naperville hosted a successful comeback this past weekend which was attended by thousands of fans. Organizers are now attending to issues which arose from the last minute cancellation from artists and schedule changes and to ticket holders who expressed concern about the use of their tickets. Ribfest hoped to alleviate ticket holder concerns by allowing the use of any unredeemed Friday night tickets for any night of the festival. Other than that, unused ticket holders are encouraged to donate the price of admission to Ribfest as a charitable donation. In spite of these options, several ticket holders have requested refunds. Ribfest organizers point out that the terms of ticket purchase do not allow for refunds; however, they hope to satisfy these concerns by offering the value of those tickets against any performer at next year’s event.  “We will review all requests as they are received,” said Bev Schafman, Ribfest chair for this year’s event.  “We promised to put on a great show and we did. We also allowed ticket holders the option to use their unused tickets for other nights as many did.” Ribfest, the major fundraiser for the Exchange Club of Naperville for the elimination of childhood abuse and domestic violence, returned this past weekend to crowds at the DuPage Event Center and Fairgrounds in Wheaton after a 2 year hiatus due to COVID 19 cancellations.

In order for holders of unredeemed tickets to make a claim, Ribfest has created a site to handle all ticket disputes. Ticket holders who wish to make a claim must go to: disputes@ribfest.net to complete the required form. Claims must be filed by July 1, 2022.
